Little Bunny's Bible by P J Lyons, Illustrated by Melanie Mitchel is a cute little furry Bible story board book. It contains Bible stories adapted for young children to understand and with illustrations they can enjoy. It has a soft and furry cover and thick cardboard pages. My 3 year old loves to cuddle with it and carry it around, especially bringing it to church! The stories are typical of Bible board books. Scripture is paraphrased and not directly quoted, which somewhat bothers me. I believe that children should be exposed to scripture, even at a young age. I get that they might not typically understand what is being read but repetition is the best way to learn. Other than that, the book is nicely done. Its main focus is Jesus's life and ends at the Resurrection, I wouldn't necessarily call it a Bible since it's not it's full works, but it is filled with the Good News! Most importantly, it is toddler approved and loved. He has brought it just about everywhere, obviously while hopping about! Loves the feeling of it and how it's the perfect size to fit under his arm. I would recommend this book as a gift for a baby or toddler, not necessarily as a "First Bible" gift but it is a nice book and it shares God's word to little ones! And it's oh so soft ! Not a "must buy" but a nice gift.
