The Beauty of Broken by Elisa Morgan

The beauty of Broken by Elisa Morgan.
There is no such thing as a perfect family. Weather it be your first family or your second, ( Your first where you would be a child and your second where you would be the parent)  all families are  like dropped fine china, very fragile, at least chipped but mostly broken. God is the only one that is able to pick up all the pieces and glue us back up together again. And He finds incredible value in our brokenness.

Elisa Morgan's story is  a very touching story, full of surprises and unexpected challenges, just like all of our life stories! I laughed out loud at parts and teared quietly at other parts. The challenges and adventures she faced and still faces are relate-able and one can understand her reactions and how she delt, is dealing with issues. And it has made her into an old family friend  or at least feel like one! The way she managed herself during her family trials is inspirational and the last part of the book is just awesome. There is an Appendix of Hope full of quotes that will give you hope, followed by Scriptures of hope, that are simply perfect.

This has been a great read, especially in this season of my life, as my second family has now begun and I am realizing that perfectness can not be achieved.
